KZHE’s Troy Alphin,
of “Troy & Dave” fame
Troy Alphin participates in an unusual festival activity. His on-air sidekick, Dave Sehon, is looking on.
We have a lot of fun putting on the PurpleHull Pea Festival. We have fun seeing you have fun. But there’s more to the festival than meets the eye.
There is a purpose behind the madness at the PurpleHull Pea Festival. It is this: When the festival began, there was no park facility in Emerson.
Thanks to a lot of work by the festival and its volunteers, the generosity of the Emmert family of Emerson and the Arkansas Department of Parks & Tourism, PurpleHull Pea Park is now a reality.
The festival continues to strive for improvements to the park, and that remains one of our primary goals.
So – for those of you who have helped us in any way – and continue to help us – we say, “Thank you.”
Thank you to everyone who comes to the festival.
Thank you to everyone who buys a Pea-Shirt.
Thank you to our wonderful sponsors.
Thank you to our vendors.
Thank you to all our multitude of volunteers.
Thank you to everyone who participated in any way.
