PurpleHull Pea Festival Recipes

PurpleHull Peas (Recipe Version Number 3)
2 pounds purplehull peas
1 small onion, minced
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 pound salt pork
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1 yellow onion, chopped
Place salt pork and other ingredients in
saucepan and bring to a boil.  Reduce heat and
simmer until peas are tender.  Serve with
finely chopped sweet onion.
