Ashley won the raffle for the very first PurpleHull Pea Festival Quilt.
Her name was drawn and announced at the festival’s “Pea-Stompin’
Street Dance” Saturday evening.
The queen size quilt, designed by Kay Emmert, and pieced together by over
a dozen Emerson area quilters, was predominantly purple in color, and took two
months to complete.
The quilters say they intend to make this an annual event and produce a
quilt for each future festival.
